Christy Devine Shulman
In addition to being a charming raconteur, self-professed book worm and music lover, Christy Devine Shulman dedicates her time to her children, Eli and Lucy and husband, Jeff. Hailing from Mississippi, she brings Southern charm, a down-home sensibility and practicality to the mission of Baby’s Bounty. Christy is passionate about travel, a great Bourbon cocktail and the company of good friends.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Jocelyn is a 2002 graduate of UNLV with degree in Communications Studies. She is currently the Assistant Director of Catering for Resorts World and has worked in the Food and Beverage field in various executive positions since 2008. In addition to traveling, organizing and reading, Jocelyn loves cooking and spending time with her wonderful husband of eight years, Derrod McKinney.
Dina is currently serving as the Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Las Vegas. With an undergraduate degree from UNLV and a Master's from Georgetown, Dina brings a wealth of knowledge of operations, navigating state and local government and emergency management. When not performing as a masterful civil servant, Dina enjoys international travel, cycling and cooking for her close friends.
Dr. Rutu Ezhuthachan, MD
Dr. Rutu Ezhuthachan is the medical director for UnitedHealthcare and is responsible for quality improvement and health education wellness teams at Health Plan of Nevada. With her background in pediatrics, it comes as no surprise that Dr. E, as her patients affectionately call her, still champions children’s health initiatives, such as immunization education, and leads initiatives to prevent preterm births, decrease Cesarean sections, and improve breastfeeding rates. She has been on the board of Baby’s Bounty for over 10 years and is proud to serve our youngest community members.
As the daughter of a retired Air Force Major, born in Japan, LaShunda Davis-Holbert has experienced global culture from a very early age. After graduating from UNLV with a B.A. in Communications, she made her move to NYC working in fashion and eventually owning a spa, ‘Cure beauty bar. Her then partner, Damien (now husband), developed and successfully opened a communal, retail and creative space for entrepreneurs. Grady’s Collective Market: featuring fashion, food, beauty, art and vintage finds. After five years in business, the Holbert’s decided to move back to Las Vegas with their daughter, Brooklyn, to be closer to family. LaShunda is excited to use her experience in aesthetics and marketing to propel Baby’s Bounty into the new decade!
Board Emeritus and Founder
After launching Baby’s Bounty in July 2008, Kim spent over 10 years as Executive Director and today acts as an adviser and Board Emeritus. With nearly 30 years of experience in both the private and non-profit sector, she continues to advocate for the health, safety, and well-being of young children. Las Vegas has been her home since 1994 where she and her husband, Guy, raised their two children, Gabrielle and Victor.
With a foundation in business development, Kelly brings executive leadership, corporate structure and organizational management skills to the mission of Baby‘s Bounty. A native Las Vegan, Kelly loves spending time with her daughter Sophia, wife, Susan and large, extended family. When not helping organizations reach their full potential, Kelly is working to improve her tennis game and enjoys visiting local restaurants with close friends
Program Director, Diaper Banks
Lauren Wert came to Baby’s Bounty, first as a volunteer and now as our Program Director for our Diaper Bank. With over 15 years of service and management experience, Lauren brings real-world, practical experience to our mission. Although we definitely keep her busy, she still loves spending time with her family including her six year old son, Jackson.
EMI K. SAKEVICH
Program Director, Baby Bundle
With an MBA and a Master's Degree in Hotel Administration from UNLV, Emi brings nearly 18 years of hospitality experience, management efficiency and business acumen to Baby's Bounty with the goal of making each client and baby feel welcome and cared for. She is passionate about building and contributing to the Las Vegas community, volunteering her time for local nonprofits including the Burn Foundation. In her free time, Emi enjoys supporting local eateries and exploring the natural wonders around the valley.
